Quick Answer
The cheapest dispensary in Vermont changes from day to day, so the current answer is always on our live Vermont Flower Price Index, which re-ranks every tracked shop daily by average advertised flower price per gram. On October 30, 2026, 78 shops were ranked, with averages from $5.90/g at the cheapest to $15.19/g at the priciest and a statewide average of $10.42/g. These are advertised menu list prices, not sales data.
"Where's the cheapest weed in Vermont?" is the most-asked question in the market, and until now the only way to answer it was to open a dozen menus one at a time. We do that automatically: our tracker reads the live online menus of Vermont dispensaries every day and averages the advertised flower price at each. That turns a guessing game into a ranking.
Here is the short answer, then the context that makes it useful.
The September 28, 2026 snapshot
Note (October 31, 2026): this ranking is a dated snapshot from when we first published, when we tracked far fewer shops. It is not the current order. On our October 30, 2026 read of 78 ranked shops, none of these three was the cheapest. For today's order, use the Vermont Flower Price Index.
On September 28, 2026, ranked by average advertised price per gram of in-stock flower, the lowest-priced shops we tracked then were:
- Float On — $7.14/g (Burlington)
- Green Leaf Central — $7.33/g
- Juniper Lane — $7.99/g
At the other end of the shelf, the most expensive tracked averages are Mary Jane Junction at $13.47/g, Vermont GoodFire at $13.44/g, and Bern Gallery at $13.40/g. The average across the shops tracked that day was $10.38/g.
Why the shop you pick nearly doubles the price
In that snapshot, the gap between the cheapest and priciest tracked shop was $6.33 per gram, from $7.14/g to $13.47/g. With far more shops tracked, the October 30, 2026 read was wider still: $5.90/g to $15.19/g, about 2.6×. On an eighth (3.5 grams), that is roughly $21 versus $53 at list price. That is before tax, and it is an illustrative estimate drawn from the per-gram averages rather than a specific product quote.
A spread that wide on a single product category tells you something real: Vermont's market is young and prices have not converged yet. Growers, retail markups, and strain mix vary shop to shop,. Comparison genuinely pays here in a way it does not in a mature, price-flat market.
Cheapest today is not cheapest forever
These are daily averages, and they move. Flower prices at individual shops shift as new harvest inventory lands, promotions rotate, and menus turn over — we watch shops swing 30–50 cents per gram day to day. That is exactly why a static "cheapest dispensary" list goes stale the moment it is published.
So we keep a live one. Our Vermont Flower Price Index re-ranks every tracked shop with a reliable flower price from cheapest to priciest every day, straight from the same menu data behind this article. If you want the current answer rather than a September snapshot, that is the page to bookmark — it is always today's number.
How we measure this
Our tracker captures each dispensary's public online menu daily and records the advertised list price of every in-stock flower listing. For each shop we compute an average price per advertised gram, normalizing across the eighths, quarters, and grams that menus actually sell, so a shop that only lists eighths and one that lists grams can be compared fairly. Some shops can't be ranked on a given day because their menu doesn't give a reliable flower price per gram, and a few licensed shops aren't tracked at all, so the true statewide cheapest could sit at a shop missing from the ranking that day.
Two honest caveats. First, these are menu list prices, not point-of-sale receipts — your out-the-door total adds Vermont's 14% cannabis excise tax plus 6% sales tax, and any shop promotion changes the math. Second, price is not quality: the cheapest gram and the best gram for you are not always the same shelf. We measure the sticker, not the smoke.
Use the live index
Treat this article as the "why and how." For the current ranking — updated daily, with every tracked shop's price per gram — see the Vermont Flower Price Index, and the full market picture (brand share, category mix, menu value) on our Data Hub.
burlingtondispensaries.com is an independent market-intelligence tracker. We are not a dispensary and do not sell cannabis. All figures are averages of advertised list prices captured from public online menus (the ranked list is a September 28, 2026 snapshot; the range figures are from October 30, 2026) and are provided for informational purposes only.
